    Hi,

    Just wanted to double-check what exactly you would like to do - to make these subtitles viewable with your video at YouTube.com or to embed the video with Spanish subtitles somewhere else. The answer will be different in each case.

    Looking forward to hearing from you.

    Hi Margarita,

    I want to embed my video somewhere else, with the Spanish subitles
    automatically on, by default.

    Hi Jeronimo,

    Thank you for your reply.

    In this case, you will need to insert the following embed code into the HTML source of your page:

    <script type="text/javascript" src="http://s3.www.universalsubtitles.org/embed.js">
    (
      {"base_state": {"language": "es"},
       "video_url": "http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZH6F1rhMc3U"}
    )
    </script>

    Please keep in mind that some blog sites suppress third-party scripts on their pages for security reasons - if this is the case, you may not see the video and the UniversalSubtitles widget tab under it. Please check with your host provider for their security policy on the use of scripts.

    If you still have questions or queries, please feel free to ask - we'll love to help.

    Jerónimo,

    Glad to hear the problem is solved now.

    Actually, the easiest way to embed a video with specific default language selection is to copy the embed code directly from the page with the desired language - in this case, http://www.universalsubtitles.org/es/videos/eUKsR1xIw3v6/es/200393/. This script contains everything necessary, including the value of base_state parameter (the default language).

    Thank you for your suggestion, I'll see whether it'll be possible to add a direct link to list of ISO-639-3 codes to the help page.

    Happy subtitling!

    noticed that when you click in spanish below the embed code changes! you
