First of all I love USB! It's easy to use and does a nice job of titling.

However, I'm attempting to title videos that I have hosted on Vimeo using the embed code you provide but my video is not showing up while attempting to embed it on my site. I have followed the instructions for Vimeo listed in your help section but still no love. What am I missing?

    Hi Gregory,

    Thank you for your words of appreciation for UniversalSubtitles. Sorry to hear you have experienced problems with embedding.

    Did you try to embed this video: "02_HLG_Trim"? If yes, it should work well when embedded on a page. Could you please give me the link to the page where it is embedded and does not show up? (If you'd rather not display this link in the public discussion, you can email it to me at mshamraeva (at) pculture (dot) org.)

    I am looking forward to hearing from you. Your input is greatly appreciated.

    Hi David,

    Thank you for using UniversalSubtitles. We value your participation and support.

    Did you insert the following script into your page?

    <script type="text/javascript" src="http://s3.www.universalsubtitles.org/embed.js">
    (
      {"base_state": {"language": "en"}, "video_url": "http://vimeo.com/32346206"}
    )
    </script>

    I don't seem to be able to find it in the page source. Some sites suppress users' JavaScript for security reason, but according to Cargo's support, this should not be the case.

    Could you please double-check the page source and let me know if the problem still exists?

    Looking forward to hearing from you.

    Hi David,

    Please take a look at the demo page where your video is embedded with subtitles in two different sizes:

    http://maggie.mirocommunity.org/unisubs-vimeo/

    To resize a Vimeo video, you'll need to modify your embed script as follows:

    <script type="text/javascript" src="http://s3.www.universalsubtitles.org/embed.js">
    (
     {"base_state": {"language": "en"},
      "video_url": "http://vimeo.com/32346206",
      "video_config": {width:XXX, height: YYY}
     }
    )
    </script>

    (XXX and YYY should be replaced with the width and height of your video object in pixels, respectively).

    If you experience difficulties inserting JavaScript into Cargo page, it is probably worthwhile approaching the site support staff for instructions how to do it properly.

    Hope this helps. Happy subtitling!
